Whats Up..Did a bit of spring cleaning a couple of weeks ago and Unearthed some stuff which i forgot I had. SO anyhoo today I'm gonna do a review of a Comic Character From CHAOS! Comics. The same dudes that did Lady Death, Purgatory and Evil Ernie. Got these 2 like 2 years ago at a toyshop in Genting. So here goes:

Background story
Jade is a 4000-year-old vampire-sorceress who has been the leader of a powerful, Shanghai crime family for over a millennia, a position she inherited from her father. For ages, it was a position she filled based upon honor. Her competitors believed "Jade" a title given to the woman who controlled the family in each generation.

In the 20th century, she came to believe that China had lost much of its honor and dignity. In an effort to restore honor, she is using her supernatural powers to bring all the other Triad families under her control and through them, take control of China itself.

Packaging
The Box itself is pretty basic but it is adorned with Beautiful artwork of Jade. And a background of her in the back. Would have preferred a window box but the box and styrofoam does provide maximum protection so cant really complain there. The packaging itself is collector friendly, meaning you don't have to destroy the box to get to the item inside which is ALWAYS cool.

The Bust
Jade herself is a pretty well endowed woman. Lets just say She's Big in all the right places..Hence the Bust review..get it BUST??? no?..oh well nevermind. Seriously though The Bust(no pun intended) stands at 7 inches tall. It was Sculpted by Andy Bergholtz and it's limited to 1000 pieces worldwide. And I have Both the regular and the Vampire Faced Variant.

Details
The Detailing on the Bust is pretty amazing. Jade's clothing or rather the parts where she's covered is in Jade green with Gold lining. The sculpting of her hair is also wonderfully done. Every line on her hair,sleeve and base is meticulously sculpted, and since this thing is Hand sculpted don't expect them to be identical..Every Bust is Unique. Now as I said The Jade bust is of an Insanely Drop dead Gorgeous Vampire babe. She is Adorned with huge earrings and at the base of the BUST is a very detailed dragon.

Variant
Apart from the regular Bust Pictured above there was also a variant Made. About the only difference is The variant has no earirngs and Jade has her vampire face on. Other than that the details are pretty much equal to the regular edition.

Bottom Line
This is more of an Adult collector thing rather than a toy that kids can play and bat around with. There have been cases where despite the protection that the box provides The bust comes broken in box. But other than that it's an amazing piece to have..even better if you have both. It will look good on any shelf or rather it will make any shelf look better.
